Shown here is an amazing Cintamani Saffordite tektite from Arizona, USA. This beautiful stone has a premium surface. It displays deep, intricate texture, and a slight sheen. This in combination with its round shape makes this stone truly one of a kind. This piece appears intense black unless held to light. A camera flash was used in the photographs. When illuminated from behind this piece shows some slight banding, and a deep amber glow. The origins of this Arizona Desert Glass are still being debated. Some view these as tektites while others theorize they are the most ancient remnants of terrestrial obsidian from lava flows. The surface appearance and regmaglypt patterns are indistinguishable from other known tektites. Which indicated that the material was projected high into the atmosphere and rained back down on earth. They exhibit many of the characteristics know to tektites and even appear to have lechatelierite deposits as well. Regardless of their origin they are rare, beautiful, and mysterious.

Is shipping guaranteed to track?
Standard shipping is the most economical method- First Class Mail through the U.S. Postal Service. This does not come with guaranteed tracking to the destination. The package usually scans and updates within the U.S. however, international tracking is not available. It is the buyers responsibility to understand all shipping/customs policies in their country.
We offer many shipping upgrades which include tracking and insurance upon request. Please contact us to customize shipping options (such as signature confirmation and added insurance) or select 'Tracking and Insurance' as an upgrade to Priority mail.
Please note, that some destinations do not offer Priority Mail tracking.

Are there estimated shipping times for First Class Package?
I ship through USPS First Class Mail in order to offer low cost shipping. Unfortunately, this service is highly variable on shipping times, and is inconsistent in tracking international. Typically packages can arrive anywhere from 10-30 business days or longer. Although First Class is my default shipping method I highly recommend upgraded shipping for express shipping times, guaranteed tracking, and insurance. Please contact us with any questions you may have or to request the use of Fed Ex or UPS services.
